I think you may be able to do this with any salt. It's a principle of supersaturation. When you heat something, you can dissolve more salt than you could when it was cool. So if you dissolve as much as you can when it is hot, when you cool it, the salt will be aching to come out of solution. When you agitate it, it crystallizes.
